An assembly for combining the outputs from a group of n single mode optical fibres on to the photosensitive surface of a photodetector (1) has an adiabatically tapered bundle (2) of fibres (3) the small end of which is fusion spliced to one end of a length (4) of multimode fibre whose other end is optically coupled with the detector (1) by means of a lens (5).

L'invention a trait à un montage permettant de combiner les sorties d'un groupe de n fibres optiques unimodales à la surface photosensible d'un détecteur photoélectrique (1). Ce montage comporte un faisceau (2) de fibres (3), effilé de manière adiabatique, dont la petite extrémité est épissée par fusion à une extrémité d'une longueur (4) d'une fibre multimodale, l'autre extrémité de celle-ci étant dotée, par l'intermédiaire d'une lentille (5), d'un couplage optique avec le détecteur (1).
