An optical cross-connect having an input port for launching a beam of light into the optical cross-connect, at least two output ports, each output port for selectively receiving a beam of light, a dispersive element for dispersing the beam of light into separate wavelength channels, and a switch core for independently switching at least one individual wavelength channel between ports. The switch core includes a cylindrical ATO element, two cylindrical relay lenses, and two opposing deflector arrays. Conveniently, the deflector arrays are either liquid crystal phase arrays or reflective MEMS arrays.

Il s'agit d'un répartiteur optique pourvu d'un point d'entrée pour déclencher un faisceau de lumière dans le répartiteur optique, d'au moins deux points de sortie, chaque point de sortie permettant de recevoir sélectivement un faisceau de lumière, un élément dispersif permettant de disperser le faisceau de lumière en deux canaux de longueur d'onde distincts, et un noyau de commutateur pour commuter indépendamment au moins un canal de longueur d'onde individuel entre les points d'accès. Le noyau du commutateur comprend un élément ATO cylindrique, deux lentilles de relais cylindriques et deux réseaux de déflecteurs en opposition. Il est commode que les réseaux de déflecteurs soient des réseaux à phases à cristaux liquides ou des réseaux MEMS réfléchissants.
