A method and system for adjusting power at output ports of a wavelength division multiplexing (VVDM) coupler (12). A loss element (14) may be placed at one or more of the output ports (20, 22) of the WDM coupler. The loss element (14) may have a filter characteristic that compensates the temperature sensitivity coefficient of the WDM coupler (12). The filter characteristic may reject power at one of the two output ports as a function of temperature. As a result, the loss element may balance the power at the output ports (20, 22) of the WDM coupler (12) despite temperature variations.

Cette invention concerne un procédé et un système de réglage de puissance aux ports de sortie d'un coupleur de multiplexage par répartition en longueur d'onde (MRL). Un élément de perte peut être placé à un port de sortie ou plus du coupleur MRL. Cet élément de perte peut présenter une caractéristiques de filtre correspondant au coefficient de sensibilité thermique du coupleur MRL. Cette caractéristique de filtre peut entraîner un rejet de puissance à l'un des deux ports de sortie en fonction de la température.
