The invention relates to a waxless composition for cleaning and polishing acrylic and glass surfaces, which consists of a water-in-oil emulsion comprising water, naphtha mineral spirits, an abrasive, an anti-static agent, a thickening agent, dimethoxysilyl- dimethylamino-ethylaminopropyl siloxane, an aminofunctional siloxane capable of reacting with the dimethoxysilyl-dimethylamino-ethylaminopropyl siloxane to form a cross-linked siloxane film and at least one emulsifying agent having hydrophilic functional groups. The dimethoxysilyl-dimethylamino-ethylaminopropyl siloxane and aminofunctional siloxane are sufficiently diluted to prevent reaction with one another in the emulsion so that when the composition is applied to an acrylic or glass surface and the water evaporates, the aminofunctional siloxane reacts with the dimethoxysilyl-dimethylamino- ethylaminopropyl siloxane to form the cross-linked siloxane film. Such a film imparts to the surface a uniform high gloss and water repellency, and efficiently protects the surface against wear and tear caused by dust, cigarette smoke and fingerprints.
L'invention concerne une composition sans cire pour nettoyer et polir les surfaces d'acrylique et de verre qui est constituée d'une émulsion eau-dans-huile comprenant de l'eau, des essences minérales à base de naphta, un abrasif, un agent anti-statique, un agent épaississant, du diméthoxysilyl- diméthylamino-éthylaminopropylsiloxane, un siloxane aminofonctionnel capable de réagir avec le diméthoxysilyl-diméthylamino-éthylaminopropylsiloxane pour former une pellicule de siloxane réticulé et au moins un agent émulsifiant portant des groupes fonctionnels hydrophiles. Le diméthoxysilyl-diméthylamino-éthylaminopropylsiloxane et le siloxane aminofonctionnel sont suffisamment dilués pour prévenir la réaction entre les deux dans l'émulsion de manière que lorsque la composition est appliquée sur une surface d'acrylique ou de verre et que l'eau s'évapore, le siloxane aminofonctionnel réagit avec le diméthoxysilyl-diméthylamino-éthylaminopropylsiloxane pour former la pellicule de siloxane réticulé. Cette pellicule confère à la surface un brillant élevé uniforme et un caractère hydrofuge, et protège efficacement la surface contre l'usure causée par la poussière, la fumée de cigarette et les empreintes digitales.
