A lubricating oil composition comprising oil, and an additive combination comprising a poly alpha-olefin polymer dispersant with a number average molecular weight above 2500, and a metal dihydrocarbyl dithiophosphate sufficient to yield a phosphorous content of up to 0.1 percent weight based on the total weight of the oil. The poly alpha- olefin polymer can be ethylene alpha-olefin copolymer such as ethylene-1-butene or ethylene-1-butene-hydrocarbyl polyamine. Preferably, the ethylene-1-butene-hydrocarbyl polyamine has a number average molecular weight of about 3300.

La présente invention concerne une composition d'huile lubrifiante comprenant de l'huile, et une combinaison d'additif constituée d'un polymère poly alfa-oléfine d'un poids moléculaire moyen en nombre d'environ 2 500 et d'un dithiophosphate dyhydrocarbyle suffisant pour produire une teneur en phosphore de 0,1 % en poids au maximum, sur la base du poids total de l'huile. Le polymère poly alfa-oléfine peut être un copolymère d'éthylène alfa-oléfine tel que de l'éthylène-1-butène ou du polyamine d'éthylène-1-butène-hydrocarbyle. Ce polyamine d'éthylène-1-butène-hydrocarbyle présente, de préférence, un poids moléculaire moyen en nombre d'environ 3 300.
