ABSTRACT OF DISCLOSURE A masonry blade (10) adapted for cutting green concrete and asphalt (34) reduces undercutting and extends blade life by generating turbulent flow within the swarf (36) adjacent to the bond line (19) between the cutting segments (20) and the blade core (12). Turbulence is created by forming the leading surface (56) of at least one of the cutting elements (46) with a radial dimension (h2) greater than its trailing surface (54, h,) and greater than corresponding surfaces (h) of standard elements (20). The opening of the blade gullets (18) is maintained within predetermined limits to prevent blade vibration.
