ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE The invention relates to an easily removable paper machine blade which consists of an elongated, substantially non-rigid body portion and an elongated, substantially non- rigid nose-piece of a wear resistant material which is held in sliding relationship to the body portion. The nose-piece tially the same extent as the bending capability of the body portion. The nose-piece comprises a plurality of segments made of a wear resistant material. The segments are arranged in end-to-end abutment and held together under tension by a holding means which passes through the segments and to which the segments are attached by a grouting material.
