ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A surface of an unfinished plywood panel is coated with a liquid phase polyisocyanate and embossed between the hot platens of a press to cure said polyisocyanate and simultaneously impart to said panel a textured surface which is resistant to heat and moisture. Alternatively, several veneers can be united to form the plywood structure while embossing and curing the coated surface.
