ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A weatherproof outlet box cover is disclosed, the cover comprises a cover plate with one or more apertures and a closure. A hinge arrangement hingedly mounts the closure means on the cover plate for pivotal movement about a pivot axis. The hinge arrangement includes one or more collinear saddles formed on either the cover plate or the closure and one or more collinear curved surfaces formed on the other of the cover plate and the closure. The curved surfaces are arranged to seat in the saddles so that the closure can be swung between a closed position in which it lies against the cover plate and covers an aperture in the cover plate to an open position in which it is oriented at an angle relative to the cover plate and exposes the aperture. A flexible resilient spring wire has its opposite ends engaged with the closure at locations spaced from the pivot axis of the hinge arrangement. A central portion of the spring wire is captured on the cover plate so as to be deflected away from the pivot axis toward the cover plate whereupon the ends of the spring wire exert a torque on the closure to bias the closure toward its closed position.
