A weathertight doorframe assembly configured to receive a door separating an enclosed space from an external environment is described herein. The doorframe assembly includes weathertightness features designed to limit the infiltration of air and water in the enclosed space and to return the infiltrating water to the external environment. These features include (a) a generally continuous air barrier assembly so mounted to the doorframe as to contact the entire periphery of the door; (b) a watershield assembly so mounted to the doorframe and to the door as to be upstream from the air barrier assembly; and (c) a doorsill provided with a water receiving channel connected to water reservoirs transferring the infiltrated water from the water receiving channel to the external environment.
