A preformed web and a method of producing dunnage units from the preformed web. The web is an elongate flattened thermoplastic tube having an inflation edge and an opposite edge. The tube includes spaced transverse seals that define sides of pouches. The tube includes lines of perforations that allow adjacent dunnage units to be separated. A starting point of the lines of perforations is spaced apart from the inflation edge. The positions of the starting point of the lines of perforations with respect to the inflation edge is selected such that a cutter that cuts the inflation edge clears the line of perforations. Binding or wrinkling is therefore no caused by engagement of the cutter with the lines of perforations.

L'invention concerne une toile préformée et un procédé de production d'unités de fardage à partir de la toile préformée. La toile est un tube allongé aplati en thermoplastique présentant un bord de gonflage et un bord opposé. Le tube comprend des joints transversaux espacés qui définissent des flancs de sacs. Le tube comprend des lignes de perforations qui permettent de séparer des unités de fardage adjacentes. Un point de départ des lignes de perforations est écarté du bord de gonflage. La position du point de départ des lignes de perforations par rapport au bord de gonflage est choisie de telle sorte qu'un dispositif de découpe qui découpe le bord de gonflage reste à l'écart de la ligne de perforations. Aucun grippage ou froissement n'est donc provoqué par l'interaction du dispositif de découpe avec les lignes de perforations.
