ABSTRACT An arrangement for two-sided coating of a moving web, in particular a paper web. The arrangement comprises transfer rolls for the transfer of coating substance to the web. Between the transfer rolls there is a coating nip, in which the coating of the web is carried out. At a considerable distance from the coating nip, there are spreader means for spreading and evening the coating substance on the transfer rolls. The web moves through the coating nip from below upwards and the coating substance supply to both transfer rolls is carried out above the spreader means to a space between each transfer roll and its spreader member.
