- 1 - Abstract The present invention is directed to a cutting device used for cutting a web which is to be formed into a cylindrical shape and then cut into an independent cylindrical body. The cutting device comprises a blade body frame having an upper blade and a lower blade. On the side of the blade body frame opposing the sectional face of the cut cylindrical body a suction port is positioned. The suction port is connected to a suction device, e.g. a blower, so as to suck air from around the cut portion of the cylindrical body. This provides an effective method for the removal of dust which may be generated when the web is cut and prevents contamination of the contents placed into the cylindrical body. Generally, the cylindrical body is formed into a beverage package.
