This invention was developed as a security system, but it is not necessarily limited to this area. In this invention the principles of magnetic field captured by "linear hall-effect sensors" are incorporated into a security system, not unlike a metal detector. The whole system will be enclosed in a metal housing strategically located in order to detect a magnetised metal rod which will be placed in retail items.
