Abstract of the Disclosure In a weaving loom of the type having program- controlled weft selector means, a weft-yarn drawing- off and length-measuring apparatus comprising a detachable length-measuring roller, a pressing roller in rolling contact with the length-measuring roller and movable relative to the length-measuring roller such as when the length-measuring roller is to be re- placed with another roller having a different diameter, a roller guide mechanism including a prallelogrammic four-bar linkage constraining the pressing roller to move in an arc, a weft guide mechanism operative to move a weft yarn into and out of a position passable between the rollers, and a control mechanism operated by the weft selector means for driving the weft guide mechanism into and out of a condition providing the aforesaid position of the weft yarn. - 1 -
