WEIGHBRIDGE DEVICE ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A weighbridge device for weighing of the longest highway or rail vehicles which requires load sensing supports at or near its ends only. The main stress carrying portion of the structure is made of precast modules which are stacked together, end to end, and partly posttensioned with cables. The platform part of the structure is then cast-in-place, keyed to the modules, and the posttensioning is completed. Use of an external tension cable system permits standardization of modules and facilitates cable installation. - 1 -
