TITLE OF THE INVENTION: WEIGHING APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR MAKING SUCH AN APPARATUS ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE: A platform and transducer elements are combined so that the transducer elements form integral components of the platform proper. For this purpose slots are milled, machined or cut into the platform so that two parallel slots define a beam structure, the sensitivity of which is established by drilling holes into the platform, at the end of each slot and intermediate the ends of each slot. Strain gage elements are then secured to the so formed beam structures, the free ends of which are oper- atively connected to support elements.
