A device and method for reducing noise and/or vibration in an image forming apparatus. In a preferred form, an insert (200) is disposed inside of a photosensitive drum (1), and the insert (200) is an elastic member having, in a relaxed state, an outer diameter larger than an inner diameter of the inner surface of the photosensitive drum (1). The insert (200) is compressed to allow insertion, and once inserted, projections (202) on the insert (200) hold the insert (200) against the inner surface of the photosensitive drum (1). As such, the insert (200) can be anchored to the interior of the photosensitive drum (1) without using adhesive and can be easily removed for recycling purposes. The photosensitive drum (1) can optionally contain a pressurized gas.
L'invention concerne un dispositif et un proc~d~ de r~duction du bruit et/ou des vibrations lors de l'utilisation d'un appareil d'imagerie. Selon un mode de r~alisation pr~f~r~, on place une pice rapport~e (200), qui est un ~l~ment ~lastique, dans un tambour photosensible (1). Ladite pice rapport~e pr~sente un diamtre externe plus large que le diamtre interne de la face int~rieure du tambour photosensible (1) lorsqu'elle est rel~ch~e. En revanche, une fois comprim~e et ins~r~e, les protub~rances (202) pratiqu~es sur la pice rapport~e (200) maintiennent celle-ci plaqu~e contre la surface int~rieure du tambour photosensible (1). Ainsi, la pice rapport~e (200) peut Útre fix~e ~ l'int~rieur du tambour photosensible (1) sans avoir recours ~ aucun adh~sif et peut Útre facilement retir~e ~ des fins de recyclage. Le tambour photosensible (1) peut ~ventuellement contenir un gaz sous pression.
