The invention relates to a welding apparatus, that includes a welding machine (1), shielding gas unit (4) and a nozzle part (3), that is connected to the welding machine (11). The welding rod (L), that is led to the welding point from the shielding gas unit (4), is arranged to be melted while being protected by the shielding gas in connection with the nozzle part (3) by means of an arc achieved by influence of the supply unit (1b) for welding current. To improve fire safety of the welding occasion, the welding apparatus includes furthermore a coupling arrangement (X), that comprises furthermore organs (X2), that are arranged to interrupt at least supply of welding current to the nozzle part (3) and to lead shielding gas to the point exposed for fire or that is burning through the nozzle part (3) at an essentially increased volume flow rate in respect to the welding occasion. A flow arrangement (Y) belonging to the coupling arrangement is arranged essentially externally in respect to the welding machine (1) at least with a view to flow techniques, by leading shielding gas during the protecting situation in question directly from the shielding gas unit (4) past the welding machine (1) to the nozzle part (3).
L'invention porte sur un appareil de soudage comprenant une machine à souder (1) une unité de gaz protecteur (4) et un pistolet (3) reliée à la machine à souder (1). Le fil de soudure (L) qui va de l'unité (4) au point de soudure est disposée pour que sa fusion se fasse à l'intérieur du gaz protecteur en association avec le pistolet (3) au moyen de l'arc produit par l'alimentation (1b) en courant de soudure. Pour améliorer la sécurité feu, l'appareil de soudage comprend en outre un dispositif de couplage (X) incluant d'autres organes (X2) conçus pour interrompre au moins le courant de soudure au pistolet (3) et diriger le gaz protecteur sur le site enflammé ou brûlant en traversant le pistolet (3) avec un débit notablement accru fonction du type de soudure. Un régulateur de débit (Y) faisant partie du dispositif de couplage (X), placé principalement à l'extérieur de la machine à souder (1) au moins pour ce qui est de la régulation du débit, transfert directement le gaz protecteur en cas de survenue d'une situation nécessitant la protection, de l'unité de gaz protecteur (4), via la machine de soudure (1), au pistolet (3).
