ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A welding gun, particularly an arc welding gun, with a torch head having the welding torch which in the front end of a tubular protective casing is rotatably driven about the axis thereof by a rotary drive which is coupled to the welding head via a reduction gear, and with a reel holder for a filler wire storage reel-containing unwinding roller arranged at the rear end of the protective casing and connected in non-rotary manner with the torch head. The reel holder is constructed as a frame surrounding the unwinding roller and its two front sides and at least one axial side and in whose frame side walls are formed bearing recesses of the reel holder in the form of bearing slots which are open at one end and which run in a drection perpendicular to the axis of unwinding roller and have its slot base engaged by the bolt ends of a bearing bolt of roller which is held by means of a locking fork movably mounted on reel holder counter to the action of a spring. The fork members of fork in each case forming a locking projection which, in the locking position of locking fork lock the bolt ends in the particular bearing slot and whose fork web connecting the fork members forms an actuating web with which the locking fork can be moved into its release position counter to the action of spring.
