27 Abstract of the Disclosure Title: WELDING TORCH The water-cooled welding torch has a water jacket which places the water in direct contact with the nose-piece of the torch, which guides the welding wire into the arc. The nose-piece contains gas-spreader-holes, which receive the argon etc from a gas feed tube and convey the gas out of and around the nose-piece. The exit-mouths of the gas- spreader-holes lie further forward (ie nearer the arc) than the entry-mouths thereof, and the forward end of the water jacket also lies forward of the entry-mouths.
