Abstract of the Disclosure Improved cement compositions and methods of using such compositions in carrying out construction and remedial operations in oil and gas wells at high temperatures are provided. The compositions are basically comprised of hydraulic cement, sufficient water to form a pumpable slurry, and a dispersing and stabilizing additive comprised of an ethoxylated alkali metal salt of an alkyl polyether sulfonate.
