The present invention provides improved well cement compositions useful for performing a variety of cementing applications in subterranean formations and particularly for cementing in subterranean zones having a temperature of about 65 ~F or less. A cement composition of this invention basically comprises a hydraulic cement, an effective amount of an iron compound selected from the group of ferric chloride, ferrous chloride or mixtures thereof to reduce the transition time of the composition, and sufficient water to form a slurry.
L'invention concerne des compositions de cimentation de puits améliorées utiles pour la mise en oeuvre d'applications de cimentation diverses dans des formations souterraines, et notamment pour des cimentations dans des zones souterraines présentant une température inférieure ou égale à environ 65 ·F. La composition de cimentation de l'invention comporte en général un ciment hydraulique, une quantité efficace d'un composé de fer sélectionné dans le groupe comprenant chlorure ferrique, chlorure ferreux ou des mélanges de ceux-ci destinée à réduire le temps de transition de la composition, et suffisamment d'eau pour former une boue.
