A perforating device having a longitudinal axis and comprising a loading tube having an explosive charge; a first layer slidably, non-fixedly, and removably disposed over the loading tube; and an outer layer in fixed engagement over the first layer, the first and outer layers forming a gun wall. In one embodiment, additional layers may be disposed between the inner and outer layers. In another embodiment, recesses or scallops are machined the outer layer and/or can be machined into the inner or additional layers. The machined recesses are disposed such that the explosive charge penetrates the gun wall at the machined recesses. A method of making the perforating device also is disclosed. The perforating device preferably can be used in oil and gas wells to fracture surrounding strata.
La présente invention concerne un dispositif de perforation comportant un axe longitudinal et comprenant : un tube de chargement muni d'une charge explosive ; une première couche disposée coulissante, non fixée et amovible par-dessus le tube de chargement ; et une couche extérieure fixée par-dessus la première couche, la première couche et la couche extérieure formant une paroi de perforateur. Dans un mode de réalisation, des couches supplémentaires peuvent être disposées entre la couche intérieure et la couche extérieure. Dans un autre mode de réalisation, des évidements ou des échancrures sont usinés dans la couche extérieure et/ou peuvent être usinés dans la couche intérieure ou dans les couches supplémentaires. Les évidements usinés sont disposés de telle manière que la charge explosive pénètre dans la paroi du perforateur à l'emplacement des évidements usinés. L'invention se rapporte également à un procédé de fabrication du dispositif de perforation précité. Le dispositif de perforation de l'invention peut de préférence être utilisé dans les puits de gaz et de pétrole pour fracturer les strates environnantes.
