A brake system (20) includes a differential carrier (22, 121) and output gear (26) operatively connected. At least one carrier rotary friction surface (43) is operatively connected to the differential carrier (22, 121). At least one side gear rotary friction surface (45) is operatively connected to one of the side gears (31, 33). At least one limited rotary friction surface is operatively connected to the case, whereby during a braking operation the carrier rotary friction surface and the side gear rotary friction surface are pressed together causing braking of the differential carrier and the first and second differential side gears (31, 33). The carrier (22, 121) is supported by the first and second differential side gears (31, 33).

La présente invention concerne un système de frein (20) comprenant un support de différentiel (22, 121) et un engrenage de sortie (26) connectés de façon fonctionnelle. Au moins une surface de frottement rotative (43) du support, est connectée de façon fonctionnelle au support différentiel (22, 121). Au moins une surface de frottement rotative d'engrenage latéral (45), est connectée de façon fonctionnelle à l'un des engrenages latéraux (31, 33). Au moins une surface de frottement rotative limitée est connectée de façon fonctionnelle au boîtier, la surface de frottement rotative du support et la surface de frottement rotative d'engrenage latéral étant comprimées l'une contre l'autre au cours d'une opération de freinage, pour provoquer le freinage du support de différentiel et du premier et du second engrenage latéral différentiel (31, 33). Le support (22, 121) prend appui sur le premier et le second engrenage latéral différentiel (31, 33).
