ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A wet separator, particularly for use in spray chambers, of the type including an elongate venturi having downwardly convergent side walls with a rebound plate below the venturi throat In order to reduce noise, the con- vergent walls are provided with downwardly convergent plates symmetrical with the venturi and converging at an angle greater than the angle of convergence of the side walls. The invention provides the advance of reduced noise with- out substantial adverse effects on the operation of the venturi
