Abstract of the Disclosure Disclosed are novel wet strength resins for paper. The resins are produced by reacting an epihalohydrin, such as epichlorohydrin, with a polyaminopolyamide derived by reacting methylbisaminopropylamine with oxalic acid, a di- ester of oxalic acid, or mixtures containing oxalic acid or a diester of oxalic acid and one or more different satur- ated dicarboxylic acids or their esters.
