The invention relates to a brake (14) for a vehicle wheel (10) which is mounted in such a way that it can be rotated in relation to a wheel support (12), said brake comprising a frame (25) which is fixed to the wheel support (12), and additional mobile and fixed friction elements (20, 22). The inventive brake also comprises a device (15) for measuring a parameter representing the energetic capacity of the brake. Said measuring device (15) comprises a capacitive sensor (40) and an information processing unit (42), the capacitive sensor (40) comprising two measuring reinforcements (44) mounted face-to-face and carried by the frame (25), and a dielectric screen (46) carried by a friction element (20, 22) which can be displaced by the action of each actuator. The dielectric screen (46) slides between the two reinforcements during the clamping of the friction elements (20, 22) in order to modify the capacity of the condenser formed by the two measuring reinforcements (44). The invention also relates to the use of said brake in an aeroplane.
Le frein (14) pour une roue (10) de véhicule montée rotative par rapport à un support de roue (12), comporte un châssis (25) solidaire du support de roue (12) et des organes de friction fixes et mobiles complémentaires (20, 22). Il comporte un dispositif (15) de mesure d'un paramètre représentatif de la capacité énergétique du frein. Le dispositif de mesure (15) comporte un capteur capacitif (40) et une unité de traitement d'information (42), lequel capteur capacitif (40) comprend deux armatures de mesure (44) disposées en regard et portées par le châssis (25) et un écran diélectrique (46) porté par un organe de friction (20, 22) mobile sous l'action du ou de chaque actionneur, lequel écran (46) est coulissant entre les deux armatures lors du serrage des organes de friction (20, 22) pour modifier la capacité du condensateur formé des deux armatures de mesure (44).
