The invention relates to a wheel hub (1) having a central section (2) and having a radial section (3) which radially adjoins said central section (2), having a bearing section (4), which projects axially from the central section (2), for holding a wheel bearing and having an axially opposite holding section (20) for holding a brake disk and a wheel rim, wherein holes (5, 6, 7, 8) for holding wheel bolts are formed in the radial section (3). In order to obtain a particularly light wheel hub which can withstand all operating loads and offers a reliable contact face for a brake disk under all operating conditions, it is provided that the wheel hub (1) has recesses (9, 10, 11, 12, 13) at least between some holes (5, 6, 7, 8), which recesses (9, 10, 11, 12, 13) extend completely through the wall of the radial section (3) of the wheel hub (1), and that stiffening ribs (30) are formed between the respective recesses (9, 10, 11, 12, 13), which stiffening ribs (30) axially thicken the radial section (3) between the recesses (9, 10, 11, 12, 13).

L~invention concerne un moyeu (1) de roue comprenant une section centrale (2) et une section radiale (3) qui vient se rattacher à celle-ci dans le sens radial, une section de palier (4) détachée dans le sens axial de la section centrale (2) pour recevoir un palier de roue ainsi qu~une section d~accueil (20) opposée dans le sens axial pour recevoir un disque de frein et une jante de roue, des trous (5, 6, 7, 8) étant formés dans la section radiale (3) pour recevoir des boulons de roue. Pour réaliser un moyeu de roue particulièrement léger qui peut résister à toutes les contraintes opérationnelles et qui offre une surface d~appui sécurisée à un disque de frein sous toutes les conditions de fonctionnement, il est prévu que le moyeu de roue (1) présente au moins entre certains trous (5, 6, 7, 8) des évidements (9, 10, 11, 12, 13) qui traversent complètement la paroi de la section radiale (3) du moyeu (1) de roue et qu~entre les évidements respectifs (9, 10, 11, 12, 13) soient formées des nervures de raidissement (30) qui épaississent la section radiale (3) dans le sens axial entre les évidements (9, 10, 11, 12, 13).
