The "bearing" or "vehicle" part of the rig consists of a front frame (1) with two wheels (2) and a rear frame (3) with two wheels (4), connected by an intermediate hinge around a vertical shaft (6). To improve the lateral stability on turns, the front frame (1) is extended to the rear (in 13), behind the intermediate hinge shaft (6) and above a portion (14) of the rear frame (3). The extended front frame (1) supports, in addition to the drilling arms (7) and the driving and operating compartment (10), some of the electrical and/or hydraulic equipment (15) of the rig. In a reverse arrangement, the rear frame (1) is extended to the front, ahead of the hinge shaft (6) and over a portion of the front frame (1).

La partie "porteur" ou "véhicule" de l'engin se compose d'un châssis avant (1) à deux roues (2), et d'un châssis arrière (3) à deux roues (4), reliés l'un à l'autre par une articulation intermédiaire (5) autour d'un axe vertical (6).
