A brake and wheel for in-line roller skates having multiple slip disks (30a to 30ad) which are placed on retainer ring (40). Slip disks (30a to 30ad) are made of flexible plastic material, and retainer ring (40) being made of low friction plastic material. Retainer ring (40) is snapped closed once slip disks (30a to 30ad) are in place. A right rim (20) and a left rim (50) are placed abutting each other. The rims are joined in the circular hollow of assembled retainer ring (40) and slip disks (30a to 30ad) by screws (10a to 10c).
