A disk brake system as shown in figure 3 for original equipment or retrofit installation in a wheelbarrow or hand truck uses a disk rotor (50) and a caliper bracket (32) both mounted to the wheel (21) or axle (20), so as to provide the disk brake pads (46) of the caliper with a fixed position relative to the disk rotor. The caliper bracket is stabilized by a separate U-shaped mounting bracket (80), or by one or more mounting arms (36) affixed to the caliper bracket, which are secured to one handle (12).

L'invention concerne un système de freins à disque présenté à la figure 3, destiné à l'équipement d'origine ou à l'installation de conversion d'une brouette ou d'un chariot manuel, ledit système utilisant un rotor à disque (50) et un support d'étrier (32) montés à la roue (21) ou à l'axe (20), de manière à pourvoir des garnitures de freins à disque (46) de l'étrier d'une position fixe par rapport au rotor à disque. Le support de l'étrier est stabilisé par un support d'assemblage séparé en forme de U (80) ou par au moins un bras d'assemblage (36) fixé sur le support de l'étrier, attachés à un manche (12).
