An insert 10 for wheelbarrows 12 that includes integrally formed side walls 32 and a bottom wall 30 formed of lightweight material. A rim 34 circumscribing the side walls 32 includes a flange 36 that projects over the ridge 28 of the barrow 14 to prevent the entry of water between the barrow 14 and the insert 10, thus preventing corrosion to the barrow 14. A lip 38 formed on the flange 36 extends from the ridge 28 on the insert 10 to maintain the insert 10 in nesting engagement with the barrow 14 when the wheelbarrow 12 is tipped from a horizontal orientation. Hand grips 42 may be formed on the rim 34 to facilitate lifting of the insert 10 into and out of the wheelbarrow 12.
La présente invention vise une pièce rapportée (10) pour brouette (12) composée de parois latérales (32) faisant corps avec un fond (30) fabriqué d'un matériau léger. Un bourrelet (34) entourant les parois latérales (32) présente un rebord (36) par rapport au sommet (28) de la brouette (14) pour empêcher l'entrée d'eau entre la brouette (14) elle-même et la pièce rapportée (10), et ainsi prévenir sa corrosion. Une lèvre (38) formée sur le rebord (36) se prolonge au-delà du sommet (28) de la pièce rapportée (10) pour maintenir cette dernière bien imbriquée dans la cuvette de la brouette (14) lorsque celle-ci est inclinée par rapport à l'horizontale. Des poignées (42) peuvent être façonnées à même le bourrelet (34) pour faciliter le soulèvement de la pièce rapportée (10) au moment de la mettre en place dans la brouette (12) ou de la retirer de celle-ci.
