A resilient suspension front wheel drive wheelchair which has a stabilizing assembly that substantially maintains the drive wheels in vertical alignment upon encountering an obstacle such as a bump thereby providing stability. The stabilizing assembly comprises a plurality of substantial equal length and parallel link arms which independently connect each drive wheel to a frame. A rear counter weight is also provided to provide a shorter turning radius and hence improved turning ability while maintaining stability.
