A whipstock, a running/retrieval tool and a system for tieing back a liner from a well bore casing are disclosed. The whipstock comprises a main body having an outer surface, a sloping face portion having a slope angle, and an extension formed on such that the diameter of the extension is greater than the diameter of the main body. The running/retrieval comprises a housing including a retractable latch biased radially outwardly from the tool formed to fit within a slot formed on a downhole tool. The system for tieing back a liner from a well bore casing comprises a well bore casing including a window opening defined by edges, the edges including beveled portions and a tieback hanger having an anchored end for attachment to the casing, the anchored end having thereon a flared tab for engaging against the beveled portions of the window opening edges.
