A wide angle display system (10) includes a linear array projector (12), a curved display surface (14), and a two-sided, substantially planar scanning mirror (16). The projector is configured to project an image along an optical axis (26) to the scanning mirror. The scanning mirror continuously rotates about an axis (18) substantially in the plane of the mirror, so as to reflect and scan the image onto the display surface.

L'invention concerne un système d'affichage grand-angle (10) comportant un projecteur à réseau linéaire (12), une surface d'affichage courbée (14), et un miroir de scannage sensiblement plat, à deux côtés (16). Ledit projecteur est conçu pour projeter une image le long d'un axe optique (26) sur le miroir de scannage. Ce miroir de scannage tourne en continu autour d'un axe (18) pratiquement dans le plan du miroir, de manière à réfléchir et à scanner l'image sur la surface d'affichage.
