A system and a method remotely monitor electrical and/or mechanical equipment where a user may interactively alter the operation of a piece of equipment remotely. As the operation of a device may be altered remotely, a corresponding resource-consumption amount may also be remotely controlled and adjusted. An embodiment of the present inventions is directed to remotely adjusting, or causing the remote adjustment, of the use, state, parameters or characteristics of a device, process or both, for reducing resource demand and/or adding to the resource supply. The remote adjustment may originate from a user associated with the devices, a supplier of a resource for operation of the devices, a utility industry participant, a third party, government entity, a trader or any other entity. The adjustment of resource-consumption may be based on a triggered event/condition, a predetermined schedule or other defined scheme.
L'invention concerne un système et un procédé permettant à un utilisateur de contrôler une pièce d'équipement électrique et/ou mécanique à distance. Ce système et ce procédé permettent également de contrôler et de régler à distance la consommation en ressources correspondante de cet équipement électrique et/ou mécanique. Un mode de réalisation de la présente invention concerne le réglage à distance du fonctionnement, de l'état, de paramètres ou de caractéristiques d'un dispositif et/ou d'un processus, pour réduire la demande en ressources et/ou augmenter l'approvisionnement en ressources. Le réglage à distance peut être fait par un utilisateur associé aux dispositifs, par un fournisseur d'une ressource permettant de faire fonctionner les dispositifs, par un acteur de l'industrie de l'équipement, par un tiers, par une entité publique, par un négociant ou analogue. Le réglage de la consommation en ressources peut être basé sur un événement/une condition déclenché, un horaire prédéterminé ou tout autre schéma défini.
