Image Image Image A high frequency power inverter comprises a power supply (20), a thyristor (SCR5 or SCR6) for switching the energy from the power supply to a load (10) and a neutral capacitor (C3) for storing energy cyclically to assure reverse voltage is applied to the thyristor (SCR5 or SCR6). A clamp circuit (L9, L10, D3, D4) is comprised of an inductor (L9 or L10) having a relatively large value for permitting a gradual leaking of the capacitor voltage during an inverting of the power supply voltage to the load (10) so that the capacitor (C3) can ring-up to a higher value than the supply voltage. The inductor (L9, L10) is selected so that under all conditions, the voltage on the capacitor (C3) will be safely larger than the power supply voltage plus a load voltage peak for a time long enough to assure thyristor turn off.

L'invention est un inverseur d'alimentation haute fréquence comportant un bloc d'alimentation (20), un thyristor (SCR5 ou SCR6) pour commuter l'énergie transmise par le bloc d'alimentation à une charge (10) et un condensateur neutre (C3) servant à stocker l'énergie de façon cyclique afin qu'une tension inversée soit appliquée au thyristor (SCR5 ou SCR6). L'invention comporte également un circuit de calage (L9, L10, D3, D4) constitué d'une bobine (L9 ou L10) ayant une inductance relativement grande pour permettre une baisse graduelle de la tension du condensateur durant une inversion de la tension d'alimentation appliquée à la charge (10) afin que le condensateur (C3) puisse osciller à une tension plus élevée que la tension d'alimentation. La bobine (L9, L10) est choisie de façon que, quelles que soient les conditions, la tension appliquée au condensateur C3 sera de façon sûre plus grande que la somme de la tension d'alimentation et de la tension de crête de la charge, et ce, durant une période suffisamment longue pour permettre au thyristor de passer à l'état non conducteur.
