The present invention is a new and novel wind generator system particularly suitable for small wind applications that harnesses low velocity wind effectively. In a preferred embodiment of the invention, the wind generator system comprises a drive shaft; a plurality of blades attached to the drive shaft and extending radially outwardly therefrom; a generator assembly coupled to the drive shaft and effective for generating electrical power; and a housing having an inner chamber for receiving the plurality of blades and a wind directional apparatus that operates to adjust the speed of the wind and to channel wind along a desired flow pathway towards the plurality of blades.
La présente invention décrit un système d'éolienne innovant particulièrement approprié à des applications sous vent faible, puisque exploitant efficacement le vent à faible vitesse. Dans un mode de réalisation préféré de l'invention, l'éolienne comporte un arbre d'entraînement ; une pluralité de pales fixées à l'arbre d'entraînement et s'étendant radialement vers l'extérieur à partir de celui-ci ; un ensemble générateur couplé à l'arbre d'entraînement et générant de l'énergie électrique ; et un carter présentant une chambre interne recevant la pluralité de pales et un appareil directionnel suivant la direction du vent qui effectue un ajustement de la vitesse du vent et canalise le vent dans un trajet d'écoulement souhaité vers la pluralité de pales.
