A wind powered apparatus (or wind tur-bine) having two sets of counter rotating blades. Both sets of blades are connected to an alternator and are operable to rotate the stator and rotor thereof in opposite directions rel-ative to one another, thereby doubling their relative speed. The apparatus is equipped with a conical front nose piece having a blunt tip that co-operates with the first and second sets of blades to improve performance of the apparatus by affecting its orientation and the rotational speed of the blades.

L'invention porte sur un appareil fonctionnant à l'énergie éolienne (ou sur une éolienne) qui présente deux ensembles de pales contrarotatives. Les deux ensembles de pales sont reliés à un alternateur et peuvent fonctionner pour faire tourner le stator et le rotor de celui-ci dans des directions opposées l'une par rapport à l'autre, doublant ainsi leur vitesse relative. L'appareil est équipé d'un nez avant conique dont la  pointe émoussée coopère avec les premier et second ensembles de pales pour améliorer lefficacité de l'appareil en ayant une incidence sur son orientation et sur la vitesse de rotation des pales.
