- 17 - A B S T R A C T A wind propulsion unit, particular for life annular inflatable floats, comprising a stiff frame to be applied to the float (1) and provided with means supporting a mast (5) for a sail (6), said mast being placed outwardly the float, and with a fin (7), to which a rudder (8) is hinged, provided with rudder control members (18) characterised in that the frame is made of plastics material and comprises: - a front connection member (4) provided with a concave portion surrounding at least partially said float (1) and protruding outwardly in a portion provided with a seat (13) for the mast (5), - a fin (7), which is at least partially hollow, is integral with said connection member (4) and extends below the float (1) from said member in a diametrically opposite direction, said fin (7) being provided with at least one longitudinal channel extending in a corresponding channel provided in the connection member (4) to house the rudder control members (18), and being further provided with openings connecting its inner hollow with the outside, - removable fixing means (10) of said connection member (4) to said float (1).
