Windbreak barrier for a suspension bridge comprising a substantially rigid flat structure, the top surface of which forms the roadway for the vehicles crossing the bridge, and a suspension system formed of catenary cables and of a plurality of vertical stays or hangers (P) to which is anchored said structure. The windbreak barrier comprises, on one hand, aerodynamic elements consisting of a pair of horizontal wing surfaces (8, 9) having a symmetrical profile and forming part of a framework, and on the other hand, a vertical grille wall (10) having a transparency of the order of 70 % and being mounted on said framework. Said wing surfaces have a wing chord of 100 to 150 cm and a thickness, in correspondence of the highest point, of 20 to 30 cm.
Barrière anti-vent pour pont suspendu comprenant une structure plate sensiblement rigide, dont la partie supérieure constitue la chaussée pour des véhicules traversant le pont, ainsi qu'un système de suspension constitué de câbles de caténaire et d'une pluralité de haubans ou de dispositifs (P) verticaux auxquels est encrée ladite structure. La barrière anti-vent comprend, d'une part, des éléments aérodynamiques composés d'une paire de surfaces d'ailes horizontales (8, 9) possédant un profil symétrique et faisant partie d'une structure et, d'autre part, d'une paroi grillagée verticale (10) présentant une transparence de l'ordre de 70 % et montée sur ladite structure. Lesdites surfaces d'aile possèdent une corde d'aile de 100 à 150 centimètres et une épaisseur, au point le plus élevé, de 20 à 30 centimètres.
