Abstract The winding body (14) of the winding core (10) has on its side edges (20, 20') projections (22), projec- ting in the direction of the longitudinal axis (12) beyond the printing products (40) wound-up on the winding core (10), and recesses (24) partially covered by the printing products (40). During the stacking of rolls (38) one on top of the other in a tower-like manner, the projections (22) of one winding core (10) engage in the recesses (24) of the winding core (10) of the neighboring roll (38). During stacking, the wound-up printing pro- ducts (40) of the rolls (38) consequently come into contact with one another. A mutual slipping of the rolls (38) during transport is thereby prevented.
