ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE: Winding gear of an elevator, adapted for lifting a load, gear including a casing and an output shaft having one end extending out of the casing and on which is mounted a cable pulley for supporting the load, which load exerts on the cable pulley and in turn radially on the shaft a force acting in a predetermined direction.
