ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE According to the present invention, window frames and frames of stationary window panels are utilized as solar collectors. It is possible to configure the frames themselves as solar collectors, or the solar collectors may be mounted on the exposed surfaces of such frames. Thus large solar collection areas for the whole building are achieved, without altering or adversely affecting the architectural appearance of such buildings.
