The Window and Door Weatherproofing Assembly is designed to be used by the construction industry, installed in new building or renovations requiring window and door installation to prevent water ingress through the openings. Excessive moisture has caused decay of walls, as well as creating harmful mould problems. This problem must be addressed, while maintaining a solid support for the window or door. The Window and Door Weatherproofing Assembly meets these objectives. It is a three component system including a support member with a means of draining water away from the opening, as well as maintaining support and required airflow, and two corner elements. Installation requires no specialized tools or chemicals. The support section is cut to length, and the corners are set on top of the support. The window or door frame is placed on top of the assembly and attached to the building in the usual fashion.
