WINDOW ASSEMBLY WITH MAGNETICALLY ATTACHABLE GLAZING PANELS Abstract of the Disclosure In a window assembly including a peripheral frame defining a window opening, a glazing panel which spans the window opening and overlaps portions of the peripheral frame, the height and width of said panel exceeding the height and width of said opening but being of lesser height and width than the peripheral frame, a permanent magnetic strip carried about the periphery of said panel, the improvement comprising a complementary permanent magnetic strip having a first side and an opposite directed second side, an adhesive binder applied at said first side of said complementary magnetic strip, said complementary magnetic strip being secured to said peripheral frame by said binder, said panel being attached to said peripheral frame by the magnet-to- magnet connection of the first mentioned magnetic strip and said complementary magnetic strip along the second side of the complementary magnetic strip, at least one of said magnetic strips comprising a flexible rubberized composition having permanent magnetic particles embedded therein and providing conformance to surface irregularities or misalignment of said frame. The uniqueness of the present assembly resides in the fact that the contact amounts to magnet to magnet contact which provides an extremely secure bond.
