A multi-purpose window bag having multiple layers includes a window, an outer surface and an inner surface. The bag is formed from a multi-ply blank having an interior polymeric layer and one or more outer layers. The outer layers are typically formed from paper or paper like material and have a window cut through the outer layers. First, the outer layers are adhered to one another and then the window is cut through the adhered outer layers. Next, a skip laminator is used to apply adhesive to the interior surface of the adhered outer layers, except for the window. Finally, the polymeric interior layer is adhered to the outer layers. Preferably, the interior layer is transparent or translucent. The multi-ply is formed into closed bottom bag with the polymeric interior layer fully lining the inside of the bag. -10-
