In a window for ovens, in particular household baking ovens, with a window structure that consists of several panes, at least one of the panes is angled in comparison to the other panes. Because of this a lower outer surface temperature results on the outer pane of the multiple pane arrangement turned away from the oven inner chamber with elevated temperature. The frame of the multiple pane arrangement can also have openings on the top and bottom in the area between the outside pane and the center pane. In combination with this measure, which permits convection of the outside air through the outer pane intermediate space, an additional reduction of the temperature of the outer pane can be achieved. This air convection can be increased by the fact that the angled center pane converges toward the outer pane at the top.
