A system is provided for properly resizing a window shade (10) to fit within a window frame adjacent a window. At least one ruler strip (20) is provided with visible graduations (28) thereon. Indicia (29) are provided adjacent at least some of the graduations. The indicia are descriptive of a width of a window frame in which the window shade will fit when the window shade is cut at the graduation (28) adjacent to that indicia (29) . A position of the graduations (28) and the corresponding indicia (29) are misdescriptive of a width of the window shade so that clearance around the perimeter of the window shade and cutting of bothe edges (6, 8) of the window shade are accomodated. Both rectangular window shade and arched window shade sizing systems are provided. A retainer (30) is also provided for holding and guiding of a cutting tool (K) during cutting of the window shade for proper resizing.

L'invention concerne un système destiné à redimensionner de façon appropriée un store à enroulement automatique (10) en vue de l'ajuster dans un cadre de fenêtre adjacent à une fenêtre. Il est prévu au moins une bande graduée (20) portant des graduations visibles (28). Des marquages (29) sont prévus, adjacents à au moins certaines des graduations. Les marquages sont descriptifs d'une largeur d'un cadre de fenêtre dans lequel le store à enroulement devra être ajusté lorsque le store est sectionné à la graduation (28) adjacente à ce marquage (29). Une position des graduations (28) et des marquages correspondants (29) sont faussement descriptifs d'une largeur du store, de sorte que le jeu autour du périmètre du store et la découpe des deux bords (6, 8) du store sont adaptés. Il est prévu des systèmes de dimensionnement de stores rectangulaires et de stores courbés. Des moyens de retenue (30) sont également prévus pour le maintien et le guidage d'un outil de découpe (K) permettant le sectionnement du store à la nouvelle dimension appropriée.
